The presented work considers the problem of optimizing the topological structure of the network. In this case, an improved logarithmic function of the administrative distance was used, which corresponds to the fundamental law of the analysis of “man-machine” systems – the Weber-Fechner law. The results of calculations and computer modeling indicate that the intuitive reactions of the computer network administrator to changes in the logarithm of the administrative distance are accelerated when applying the administrative distances of the Weber-Fechner law, an approximately 10...15 percent acceleration of the intuitive reactions of the network administrator to sudden excitations is observed, which gives an additional gain in reducing the delays of adaptation to route changes by approximately 2%-3%.
