Author Guidelines

Manuscript Formatting and Submission Guidelines

 

The editorial board of the scientific journal «Problems of Informatization and Management» accepts original research articles that align with the journal's scope and present the results of relevant theoretical and applied research in informatics, computer science, information technology, automation, management, and related fields. Submissions must not have been previously published or be simultaneously under consideration by other scientific publications.

Articles are submitted electronically through the journal's editorial system. The languages of publication are Ukrainian and English. The title of the article, author details, abstract, and keywords must be provided in both Ukrainian and English.

 

Article Structure

The article must include:

  • UDC (Universal Decimal Classification);

  • Title of the article;

  • Information about the author(s);

  • Abstract and keywords;

  • Main text of the article;

  • List of references.

The main text of the article should reflect the problem statement, analysis of recent research, purpose of the study, presentation of the main material, results, and conclusions.

 

Author Information

For each author, the following must be specified:

  • Full name (First name, Middle name/Patronymic, Last name);

  • Academic degree, academic title;

  • Position;

  • Place of work or study (Affiliation);

  • City, Country;

  • ORCID;

  • Email address.

In the case of co-authorship, the corresponding author responsible for communication with the editorial board must be clearly designated.

 

Formatting Requirements

The manuscript must be submitted in .doc or .docx format. The recommended length of the article is 6–10 pages, with a minimum of 4 pages. The text should be formatted on A4 paper in two columns.

Formatting parameters:

  • Margins on all sides: 2.5 cm;

  • Font: Times New Roman;

  • Font size for the main text: 12 pt;

  • Line spacing: Single;

  • Paragraph indent: 1 cm;

  • Text alignment: Justified.

Large formulas, tables, and figures may be placed across the full width of the page if necessary.

 

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should concisely reflect the content of the article, the purpose of the research, the main results, and the significance of the findings. The length of the abstract should be up to 1800 characters for each language version. The number of keywords is 5–8.

 

Formulas, Tables, and Figures

Formulas should be typed using an equation editor. Only formulas referenced in the text should be numbered.

Figures, diagrams, graphs, and tables must be clear, numbered, and titled. All illustrative materials and tables must be explicitly referenced in the text.

 

References

The list of references must be formatted in accordance with DSTU 8302:2015. Bibliographic citations in the text are given in square brackets. The author is responsible for the accuracy of citations and the correct formatting of the references.

 

Review Process

All submitted articles undergo editorial review and a double-blind peer-review process in accordance with the journal's editorial policy. Based on the review results, an article may be accepted for publication, returned to the author for revision, or rejected.

 

Academic Integrity

Submitting an article to the journal means that the author confirms the originality of the manuscript, the reliability of the presented results, the correctness of citations, and compliance with the principles of academic integrity. Submitted materials may be checked for textual similarities (plagiarism).

 

Before Submission

Before submitting an article, authors are advised to check the manuscript's relevance to the journal's scope, the completeness of author information, the quality of the Ukrainian and English abstracts, and the correct formatting of formulas, figures, tables, and the list of references.

Privacy Statement

The editorial board ensures the protection of personal data in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection,” the GDPR, and relevant international standards.

Personal data (names, email addresses, etc.) provided by authors, reviewers, and users are used solely for:

  • managing the editorial and publishing process;
  • communication regarding submission, peer review, and publication;
  • maintaining the journal’s website.

Personal data are processed on the basis of the data subject’s consent and applicable legal requirements. They are not shared with third parties or used for commercial purposes without explicit consent, except where required by law.

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Data are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill their intended purposes.

Data subjects have the right to access, correct, delete their personal data, and withdraw consent to its processing.
