The article focuses on examining the formation of modern pedagogical knowledge through the lens of contemporary historical and pedagogical progress.
The research aims to conduct a historical and pedagogical reconstruction of the logic behind the emergence of modern pedagogical knowledge, establishing the role of interdisciplinary integration, internal differentiation, shifting methodological paradigms, the evolution of didactics, and the interaction between theory and educational practice.
The primary research methods employed include historical and pedagogical analysis, comparison, systematization, generalization, and conceptual modeling of the propositions that characterize the evolution of the structure of pedagogy, its research toolkit, and didactic knowledge.
The research procedure involved determining the historical prerequisites for moving pedagogical inquiry beyond a single-discipline explanation of education; identifying the transition from a natural-science model to a humanistic orientation; expanding research procedures alongside the interplay of integration and differentiation; and synthesizing the role of methodology, didactics, and practice in the historical renewal of pedagogical science.
The results of the study demonstrate the historical progression of pedagogy in the context of expanding the ways education is understood, while preserving the disciplinary autonomy of the field. It is emphasized that findings, methods, and results from adjacent fields acquire pedagogical meaning when aligned with the regularities of learning, upbringing, and personal development. The evolution of didactics is viewed as a transition from general ideas about instruction toward a multi-level structure of educational systems and specific teaching methodologies. The historical interdependence of pedagogical theory and practice is confirmed.
In conclusion, it is synthesized that the history of pedagogy reflects the formation of an open, polyparadigmatic, yet cohesive social science and humanity. Its current state is the result of specialization, methodological refinement, the clarification of its conceptual and categorical framework, and the expansion of interdisciplinary ties that enhance the overall research potential of pedagogy.
