Requirements for design and procedure for submitting a publication for publication

When submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors must confirm its compliance with all the established requirements listed below. If the submitted work does not meet these requirements, the editorial board will return the materials to the authors for revision.

  • This submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by the editorial boards of other journals.
  • Manuscripts of articles are submitted in English.
  • The number of authors should not exceed four. If the article is large, the number of authors can be increased (approximate calculation - two pages of text per author).
  • The title of the article should be as concise as possible (preferably up to 12 words, 2 lines). The keyword in the title of the article should be a noun in the nominative case.

The authors are responsible for the scientific and literary editing of the submitted material, citations, and references; however, the editorial office reserves the right to edit the article itself or refuse the author publication if the submitted material does not meet the specified requirements in form or content.

The article should be structured (divided into sections with headings) and, in accordance with the requirements for professional publications, have the following elements:

1) a statement of the problem in general terms and its connection with important scientific and practical tasks;

2) an analysis of recent research and publications in which the solution of this problem was initiated and on which the author relies, highlighting previously unresolved parts of the general problem to which the specified article is devoted;

3) a statement of the objectives of the article (statement of the task);

4) a presentation of the main material of the study with a full justification of the scientific results obtained;

5) conclusions from this study and prospects for further research in this direction;

6) a list of references.

The article must be accompanied by:

annotations in English and Ukrainian;

information about the authors in Ukrainian and English: surname, first name, ORCID, academic degree and academic title, position, place of work (department, institute - places of work without abbreviations), direction of scientific activity, number of publications, e-mail address.

 

- annotations (1800–2500 characters without spaces) in two languages ​​(Ukrainian, English), the structure of the annotation according to IMRAD;

- keywords (5–6 words alphabetically) in two languages (Ukrainian, English);

The article must be typed in the Word text editor in Times New Roman (font 11) in the automatic hyphenation mode in the following order:

1) UDC index (left) and;

2) name, surname of the authors (lowercase, bold), indicated by numerical indices, academic degree (right, top indent – 6 pt);

3) title of the article (centered, uppercase, bold, top indent – 6 pt);

4) place of work, e-mail address, ORCID (centered, top indent – 6 pt);

5) abstract in English (italics, top and bottom indent – 6 pt, left and right – 1 cm);

6) text of the article with headings, list of references;

7) name, surname, title of the article, abstract in Ukrainian.

The volume of the article with figures, tables, a list of references, and abstracts – up to 8 full pages, but not less than 6 pages.

The article is typed in 2 columns (8.25 cm each) with one line spacing

Paragraph indentation – 0.5 cm.

The indentation of headings, tables, and figures from the text at the top – 6 pt, at the bottom – 6 pt.

The numbers of formulas to which there are references in the text of the article are indicated by Arabic numerals in parentheses from the right edge of the text.

In the text, the formula comes first, and then the reference to it, and not vice versa.

The decoding of the letter designations of quantities in formulas should be submitted for selection.

To set the designations of physical quantities, the Microsoft Equation formula editor is used:

1) variables, Latin letters – italics, Times New Roman;

2) functions, numbers, Ukrainian letters – straight, Times New Roman;

3) matrices, vectors – bold, straight, Times New Roman;

4) Greek letters, symbols – straight, Symbol.

5) formulas should be presented in the MathType formula editor; sizes in formulas: regular – 11 pt, large index – 58%, small index – 42%, large symbol –

150;%t, small symbol – 100%.

6) Chemical formulas are typed in straight font.

Figures are made in the form of raster images in TIFF, JPG, BMP formats and are attached to the article as separate graphic files.

The use of embedded Microsoft Word graphics is not allowed.

Image elements must be high-quality (300–600 dpi), black and white, line thickness 2 pt.

The details of the illustration are numbered with Arabic numerals (font 10), starting with the number 1, without gaps and repetitions either clockwise, or horizontally from left to right, or vertically from top to bottom. The inscriptions on the figures should be replaced with letter designations (font 10), and the curves should be replaced with numbers (font 10), which are explained in the captions to the figures.

In the text, the reference to the figure is first, and then the figure itself, and not vice versa. The figures must be grouped, the position of the figure in the article only “in the text”. In a grouped figure, the rules for hyphenation of words must be followed, preventing their break. The color scheme of the figure should be chosen in such a way that its form and content are preserved even when reproduced in black and white (for example, when printed).

All figures must have captions that are aligned to the left edge. Captions to figures (font 10) are not allowed to be grouped with figures.

All tables must have titles. The numbering title of tables (font 10, italics) is aligned to the right edge of the table, the thematic title of the table (font 10, bold) is centered.

All figures and tables must have references in the text and be located after them.

The presentation of the material must be clear, without repetitions, without duplication in the text of these tables and their titles, figures and captions to them.

When choosing units of physical quantities, the International System of Units (SI) should be followed.

The article must use the terminology adopted by the State Standard. The authors are responsible for the scientific content of the presented material and terminology.

The abbreviation is deciphered in the text of the article, starting from the place where it first occurs.

Requirements for author's annotations (in English and Ukrainian)

- volume from 150 to 300 words.

- informativeness (does not contain common words).

- Content (reflects the main content of the article and research results).

' - Absence of abbreviations (if possible).

 

Requirements for keywords (in English and Ukrainian)

- No more than 10 words.

- Do not contain abbreviations that are understandable only from the context of the article.

- Are given in the nominative case.

- Are given in alphabetical order.

- Are separated by commas.

 

The list of references is drawn up in accordance with DSTU 8302:2015. References are provided in English. If necessary, the language of the reference is indicated in brackets, for example, (in Ukrainian). Bibliographic entries must be numbered and have references to sources in the text of the article in square brackets. References to unpublished works are not allowed.

In the list of references, at least 50% of the references must be identified by doi.
