The article examines the psychological and pedagogical principles of personality development in the educational process. The psychological factors of personality formation are analyzed, in particular cognitive processes, emotional-volitional sphere, motivation and self-awareness. The pedagogical principles of the development of students are highlighted, including humanistic, individual and differentiated approaches, as well as the role of active and interactive teaching methods. Special attention is paid to the importance of the educational environment and the professional competence of the teacher for the formation of an independent, socially responsible and reflective personality.The material presented in the article holds theoretical significance for researchers and practical value for educators striving to implement a holistic, person-centered model of learning.
