PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF COPING STRATEGIES OF MILITARY PERSONNEL IN ACTIVE COMBAT ZONES: A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS

The article examines the psychological features of coping strategies of military personnel operating in active combat zones. Special attention is paid to the role of coping strategies as a key mechanism for overcoming combat stress and maintaining socio-psychological adaptation under conditions of prolonged extreme load. Scientific approaches to understanding coping, its relationship with adaptation indicators and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder are summarized. The importance of service satisfaction and relationships with command as factors influencing the choice of coping strategies is outlined. The necessity of a comprehensive approach to the study of this issue is substantiated, and the methodological foundations for further empirical research are defined.
