The article investigates the problem of adaptation of education seekers in the conditions of interlevel transition from professional pre-higher education to higher education. Psychological and pedagogical approaches to understanding the adaptation of first-year students are analyzed and the features of adaptation difficulties of college graduates are outlined. An adaptive-transgressive model of educational transition is proposed, which combines the processes of stabilization and personal development through overcoming the limits of previous experience. The feasibility of introducing tutoring support as a mechanism for supporting professional development and continuing education is substantiated. The conclusion is made about the need for systematic pedagogical support of interlevel educational trajectories.
