The paper investigates the impact of military operations on the hydroecological state of the Dnieper River in the vicinity of the city of Kherson. Based on the analysis of the results of water quality monitoring, a significant deterioration in its physicochemical indicators was revealed. In particular, the maximum permissible concentration for nitrite ions was recorded by 1.5 times and for BOD₅ by 1.57 times. The main sources of pollution associated with the destruction of the sewage infrastructure, the ingress of detonation products and oil products into the aquatic environment were identified.
