COMPREHENSIVE PROCESSING OF ZOSTERA MARINA BIOMASS AS A BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE “BLUE BIOECONOMY” OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The possibilities of complex processing of Zostera marina as a raw material for the "blue bioeconomy" were investigated. The aim of the work was to assess the composition of the biomass and the prospects for the extraction of target products. The results obtained demonstrate the potential of biomass for the production of biocomposites, biofuels and food and pharmaceutical ingredients. , which is consistent with the EU Bioeconomy Strategy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
