Abstract

The article examines current trends in climate change in Ukraine and their impact on the ecological state of urbanized areas, in particular the city of Kyiv. It analyzes long-term climate observations, which indicate a steady increase in the average annual air temperature and an increase in the frequency of extreme weather events. The main consequences of climate change for the urban environment are identified: the formation of the "heat island" effect, deterioration of atmospheric air quality, risks of flooding and degradation of water resources. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of the impact of climate parameters on natural and anthropogenic systems. Key areas of adaptation to climate change are outlined, including increasing energy efficiency, developing environmentally friendly transport and expanding green areas. The importance of statistical analysis of climate data and the use of graphical methods for predicting further changes and developing effective environmental protection measures is emphasized.
