ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERIES DISPOSAL

Abstract

Modern approaches to the disposal of electric vehicle batteries are considered, the environmental risks of their accumulation are analyzed, and promising recycling technologies are outlined. Particular attention is paid to lithium-ion batteries as the dominant type of energy storage in the transport sector. The main challenges are identified and directions for improving the waste battery management system are proposed.
