Abstract

The uneven distribution of water resources in Ukraine, insufficient wastewater treatment before discharge into water bodies, and active hostilities significantly worsen the condition of surface and underground water bodies. As a result, there is a reduction in the number of sources for water supply and a decrease in the level of centralized water supply in small settlements. In the future, this may cause a serious shortage of drinking water in the country. The problem of contamination of water resources with heavy metals and trace elements is one of the most important both today and in the near future. This is directly related to the consequences of a full-scale invasion, since ammunition contains a lot of heavy metals, which one way or another get into water bodies.
