Abstract

The paper considers the possibility of using a ducted propfan with a significant rotation of the blade of the rotor fan impeller to change the direction of the thrust vector. Mathematical modeling of the ducted propfan was carried out using a numerical experiment. The gas-dynamic analysis of the propfan parameters was carried out by solving the system of averaged Navier-Stokes equations using the k-ε turbulence model in the ANSYS CFX software environment. The mesh is created in ICEM and has a block structure. Mesh topology takes into account the specifics of the flow calculation in the boundary layer. CFD results are presented - simulation of ducted propfan operation in mode H=0 m, M=0.2.
