Epistemological status symbol in the spiritual life of the Middle Ages

Abstract

 The article examines the character as a special means of knowledge in Christianity. An important idea centers around the world, expressed special Christian symbols. Attention is paid to the value of the icon as one of the most important Christian symbols.
