The article analyzes the problem of human life in the philosophical heritage of the outstanding philosopher L. Shestov. The connection of the philosophizing of L. Shestov with the provisions of S. Kirkegor, F. Nietzsche is revealed. Human life is interpreted as an eternal tragedy that can only be overcome by faith. The peculiarities of the interpretation of the concepts "faith", "God" in the works of L. Shestov are revealed. God is perceived by a thinker as the Living God, who is not like a Christian or Jewish God. Faith acts as the communication of man with God alone, in complete secrecy and unconditionality. Only in this way and reveals the existence of man.References
