In this article we describe the main aspects of continuous descent operations (CDO). Advantages of CDO application are discussing. CDO can enable several specific strategic objectives to be met and should therefore be considered for inclusion within any airspace concept or redesign. Considered also is the general adaptive algorithm of the forecast of continuous descent path and described influence of wind on the flight pathReferences
