The article is devoted to providing the rural population with high-quality telecommunication services through the use of a 3G/4G mobile network in conditions of insufficient or low signal level of the base station. According to the data of Ukrainian mobile operators, the radius of cell coverage in places with simple terrain in case of reception on mobile terminal for LTE, UMTS is 3-7 km and only for LTE-900FDD is 12.2 km. Currently, many settlements are outside the coverage area of 3G/4G mobile communications. There is the possibility of obtaining highquality communication in these conditions using stationary equipment, including directional antennas and routers supporting the basic radio technologies. The criterion for choosing equipment in these conditions is to obtain a high quality communication with minimal costs. Using the example of a village in the Luhansk region, the article examines the use of budget router Huawei B593s-12 and two directional antennas: the Uda-Yagi R-NET СТРІЛА-MIMO with a gain 20 dBi and a panel antenna base4d on microstrip radiators with an average gain of 15 dBi. The influence of the terrain on the communication quality is shown. Recommendations for the construction of an open channel are given.
