DECONSTRUCTIVE THINKING AS THE BASIS OF CONTEMPORARY DESIGN PRACTICES: EMOTIONAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL, ART-THERAPEUTIC AND PROGNOSTIC ASPECTS

The article explores the phenomenon of deconstructive thinking as an intellectual and methodological basis for modern design practices. Unlike classical approaches, deconstruction is viewed as a tool for critical analysis of established forms and structures, which allows for the creation of innovative objects with multi-layered meanings. Purpose. The main objective of the study is to identify the role of deconstructive thinking in shaping contemporary design practices, particularly in the emotional- psychological, art-therapeutic, and prognostic dimensions of design as a cultural phenomenon. Methodology. The study systematizes key theoretical approaches to understanding deconstruction in the context of design: the philosophical (J. Derrida, M. Foucault, J. Baudrillard), the artistic and aesthetic (P. Eisenman, F. Gehry, D. Libeskind), and the psychological (cognitive-emotive and art-therapeutic). The correlation between deconstructive principles and the mechanisms of emotional perception of visual images is determined. Results. It is substantiated that deconstructive thinking functions not only as a philosophical concept but also as an effective methodological tool in the process of creating modern visual environments. It enables the re-evaluation of aesthetic harmony, opens new possibilities for forming users’ emotional experiences, and actualizes the therapeutic function of design. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the interdisciplinary integration of deconstructive philosophy with modern psychological and art-therapeutic concepts of design. For the first time, deconstructive thinking is considered as a method not only of artistic but also of psycho-emotional modeling of visual communication. Practical relevance. The practical value of the results consists in the possibility of applying deconstructive principles in professional design practice, art therapy, and design-thinking education. The findings can be used for developing interactive visual systems and environments aimed at emotional engagement and psychological reflection of users.
