The article theoretically substantiates and defines the applied aspects of preparing students majoring in 013 Primary Education for the analysis of mathematics lessons as a crucial component of their professional training. The key types of lesson analysis are identified, and the main stages of developing analytical skills in students of specialized pedagogical colleges are examined. A comprehensive analysis of methodological work with a word problem is proposed as an integral part of the developed methodological recommendations for analyzing mathematics lessons in the New Ukrainian School.
