Review of monograph S.О. Filippov "Countering Cross-Border Crime: the Global Context and Realities of Ukraine". The reviewer notes that the author was able to form modern ideas about the nature and trends of cross-border crime on the basis of studying and generalizing domestic and world experience. In scientific work S.O. Filippov set and seems to have solved the problems related to the formation of a holistic doctrinal approach to conceptualization of cross-border crime based on the systematization of doctrinal ideas and combining them with data on the current state and trends of this type of crime. This gave the author a reason and provided an opportunity to justify the applied ways of implementing state policy in the field of combating cross-border crime and to define practical recommendations for ensuring its effectiveness. The conclusions of the monograph are based on current legislation, practice of its application, progressive doctrinal ideas about prevention strategies and methods of crime control. According to the reviewer, the monograph is a complex, fundamental scientific work, performed on a topical topic, and has scientific and practical value. It is designed for representatives of scientific and pedagogical staff, law enforcement, doctoral students, adjuncts, graduate students, as well as anyone interested in criminology.References
